Adopt Me Pet Tiers Explained: Common to Legendary
Every pet in Adopt Me belongs to a rarity tier, and understanding these tiers is the foundation of smart trading. Rarity is the first thing experienced traders look at, because it gives an instant clue about how hard a pet is to obtain — and therefore roughly how valuable it’s likely to be.
What “rarity tier” means
A pet’s tier reflects how difficult it is to get. In general, the harder a pet is to obtain, the rarer its tier and the higher its potential value. The main tiers, from most common to rarest, are Common, Uncommon, Rare, Ultra-Rare, and Legendary.
Common pets
Common pets are the easiest to obtain and the most plentiful in the game. Because almost everyone has them, their individual trading value is low. That doesn’t make them useless, though — commons are handy for “adding” small amounts of value to balance out a trade, and for raising and combining into Neons.
Uncommon pets
A step up from common, uncommon pets are still fairly easy to get but appear a little less often. Their value is modest, and like commons they’re often used to round out trades rather than as the centrepiece of a deal.
Rare pets
Rare pets sit in the middle of the ladder. They’re harder to hatch than uncommons, so they carry more value and are taken more seriously in trades — especially in good condition (Neon, or with potions).
Ultra-Rare pets
Ultra-Rare pets are genuinely hard to obtain, and their value reflects that. Demand matters a lot here: a popular Ultra-Rare can rival or even exceed some Legendaries in value, while a less wanted one may be more affordable than its tier suggests.
Legendary pets
Legendaries are the top tier — the rarest, hardest-to-get, and usually most valuable pets in the game. But not all Legendaries are equal: a common, still-available Legendary can be worth less than a hyped Ultra-Rare. Always check the actual value rather than assuming “Legendary = most valuable.”
Why rarity isn’t the whole story
Here’s the key lesson most beginners miss: rarity is a starting point, not the final answer. A pet’s real value also depends on availability (retired pets climb in value), demand, variant (Neon and Mega Neon are worth far more), and potions. A “lower tier” pet in high demand and Mega Neon form can easily out-value a plain Legendary. Always confirm with the value list and the trade calculator.
